How much does a mold inspection cost in Central Florida?
A basic moisture inspection starts at $250. For a full inspection with two laboratory samples — the most common option for homeowners concerned about mold — the cost is $500. Air quality sampling is $400, and post-remediation clearance testing is $450. Call 407-562-6002 for a free over-the-phone quote based on your specific situation.
What is included in the $500 full inspection?
The full inspection includes a comprehensive on-site walk-through using thermal imaging cameras and moisture meters, plus two laboratory samples — either air samples, swab samples, or a combination depending on what the assessor finds on site. You receive a written report with lab-analyzed results and plain-language recommendations for next steps. Results are available in as little as 6 hours, with standard turnaround of 24–48 hours.
What is the difference between a moisture inspection and an air quality test?
A moisture inspection ($250) is a physical assessment of your property — we use thermal imaging and moisture meters to locate water intrusion, elevated humidity, and conditions that cause mold growth. No samples are collected. Air quality sampling ($400) involves collecting air samples that are sent to an accredited laboratory to measure the concentration and species of airborne mold spores you are actively breathing. If you are unsure which service you need, call us and we'll point you in the right direction.
What is post-remediation clearance testing and why does it cost $450?
Post-remediation clearance testing ($450) is an independent inspection performed after mold removal — whether done by our team or another contractor — to verify that mold levels have returned to normal and the remediation was completed correctly. It involves air and/or surface sampling sent to an accredited laboratory. This documentation is frequently required by insurance companies and mortgage lenders, and it protects you from paying for remediation work that wasn't done properly.
Does mold remediation have a set price?
Remediation is quoted individually because the cost depends on the square footage affected, the species of mold present, whether the HVAC system is involved, and how much structural material needs to be removed. We provide free remediation quotes — call 407-562-6002 or use the contact form and Sean will give you a straight answer with no pressure.
Are there travel fees?
Travel fees may apply for properties outside our primary service area. For most of Volusia, Seminole, Orange, Lake, Brevard, and Flagler counties there is no additional travel charge. Call ahead if you are unsure whether your area incurs a fee.
